Gateshead Fertility Unit
Gateshead Fertility Unit is a purpose built, self contained unit where we have a personal approach to patient care.
The treatment is tailored to the individual’s needs, with an emphasis on supporting our patients’ throughout the whole process.
Gateshead fertility Unit, previously ‘The Centre for assisted Reproduction’, has been providing a comprehensive fertility service at the Queen Elizabeth hospital since 1997. This service is available for NHS funded couples and self funded patients.
Patients who are eligible for NHS treatment will need to meet their individual PCTs eligibility criteria (for more information please contact the unit)
We are happy to treat women with their own eggs up to the age of 43 and with donated eggs up to the age of 50. The Unit was designed to provide patient centered care on a single site by a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, scientists and support staff.
