A new, purpose-built pharmacy has opened at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital offering patients and visitors a quick and convenient service.

Located on Level 2 in the main entrance of the Emergency Care Centre, the new pharmacy will provide a focused and dedicated outpatient dispensing service to all QE patients.

It will dispense all outpatient and Accident & Emergency prescriptions, as well as offering over-the-counter medicines and products for sale.

John Welsh, Outpatient Pharmacy Manager (pictured above with Catherine Elliott, Alison Hawthorn and Jennifer Parker), said: "This new pharmacy is ideally located for patients, visitors and staff to pick up their prescriptions and medicines quickly and we’re really looking forward to welcoming our customers."

The pharmacy’s opening hours are 0830 to 1800, Monday to Friday.
