Radiology
The main Radiology (X-ray) department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital is a modern department offering a range of state-of-the-art imaging facilities to help diagnose health problems.
We also offer outpatient and GP patient appointments for x-rays at the following site. Please note that appointments are required:
- Blaydon Primary Care Centre
- Trinity Square Medical Centre - Bridges Medical Practice or Millennium Family Practice
Across all of our sites, we undertake around 165,000 examinations every year. You may need a radiology pre-assessment before coming into the department. You can read more about our pre-assessments here.

Find the Radiology Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital
The Radiology Department at the QE is open from 8.30am-7.30pm Monday to Friday. Please note GP appointments are scheduled at set times within these hours. The department is situated at the end of the main outpatients corridor and is signposted from both the main entrance and the outpatients entrance.
Radiology at Blaydon Primary Care Centre
9.00am- 7.30pm Monday to Sunday.
Radiology at Trinity Square Medical Centre
Radiology at Trinity Square is open from 9.15am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday except Bank Holidays. The Radiology department is situated on the ground floor of the facility.
