Where can I go for screening?

We screen in our main unit at Gateshead, at static units in Sunderland, Blaydon and South Tyneside and in our mobile units at South Tyneside, Durham and Chester-le-Street. We also screen at Blaydon in Gateshead and Cleadon Park in South Tyneside.

Gateshead Queen Elizabeth Hospital

This is our main unit. From here we manage all of the administration, hold all of the assessment clinics for the area, and screen the women.  The unit is wheel chair friendly. Sunderland Royal City Hospital

In Sunderland we hold breast screening clinics, at our unit, within the grounds of Sunderland Royal City Hospital, it is near the Chester Road entrance. The unit is wheel chair friendly. We run extended appointments for women with additional needs. University Hospital of North Durham

University Hospital of North Durham is host to one of our mobile units. Mobile units have access via stairs. If you have difficulties with stairs you can change your appointment to one of our static units.

Chester-le-Street Community Hospital

Chester-le-Street Community Hospital is host to one of our mobile units. Mobile units have access via stairs. Palmer Community Hospital
