Miss Tineke Vergeldt is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist
Tineke trained in the Netherlands and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Maastricht University in 2010. She undertook her Specialist Registrar Training at the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen and the Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven, which she completed in 2019.
In the meantime she completed a PhD in the field of urogynaecology. In 2020 she started her Sub-Specialty Training in gynaecological oncology in the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen.
She then moved to the UK in 2021 for a year of Sub-Specialty Training in the Swansea Bay University Health Board.
She was appointed as a consultant gynaecological oncologist in the Northern Gynaecological Oncology Centre in Gateshead in May 2022. Tineke has a weekly vulva clinic and colposcopy clinic, and performs both laparoscopic and open surgery for gynaecological cancers. She is active in research.
