The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA)

The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is a new special health authority charged with identifying, investigating and preventing fraud and other economic crime within the NHS and the wider health group.

As a special health authority focused entirely on counter fraud work, the NHSCFA is independent from other NHS bodies and directly accountable to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).

Local Counter Fraud Specialists (LCFS)

At a local level, NHS frauds are investigated by Local Counter Fraud Specialists (LCFS). The Counter Fraud Service for Gateshead Health is provided by the Counter Fraud Team at AuditOne.

The Counter Fraud Team is made up of experienced, professionally trained, accredited criminal fraud investigators; who are available to help you with any query or concern which you may have in relation to fraud within, or against, Gateshead Health.
