Knee Surgery (Sports, ligament and replacement surgery). Also undertakes hip replacement surgery  and orthopaedic trauma surgery

Operations

Knee arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) including meniscal repair, microfracture  and cartilage   repair surgery. (To preserve the knee joint). Arthroscopic Ligament Reconstructions (including ACLs – The anterior cruciate ligament)  around the knee. Patellofemoral  knee surgery (Ligament repair for dislocations). Corrective knee surgery for arthritis in “younger” patients with arthritis. Osteotomy surgery. including HTOs- high tibial osteotomy). Unicompartmental knee replacement (including patellofemoral replacements). Primary and revision knee replacement. Primary Hip replacements. General Orthopaedic trauma surgery (for fractures and sports injuries.) 

Clinics

Mr Graham consults patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Blaydon Primary Care Centre. Any operations required are undertaken at The QEH, Gateshead. Mr Graham also consults privately at the Spire Hospital, Washington. Ask your GP for a referral.

Qualifications

MB ChB, FRCSEd, FRCS Ed (Tr & Orth)

Training

Qualified from University of Dundee in 1993. Undertook Specialist Orthopaedic Registrar Training, through the London Training Programme (Including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital).

Completed a specialist Knee Surgery Fellowship, at Southampton General University Hospital, under the supervision of Professor David Barrett. Also completed a years Knee and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Australia.
