ECG/Pulmonary Function
The ECG/Pulmonary Function Department perform tests that are painless and give information on the condition of your heart and lungs
There are a variety of different tests performed by our department. Electrocardiograms (ECGs) are the most common but we can also image your heart with ultrasound known as an echocardiogram (echo) or see how your heart behaves when exercized by running on a treadmill. - Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- 24 hour ECG recording (24 hour tape)

- Exercise tolerance test (treadmill)
- 24 hour blood pressure recording
- Pacemaker checks
- Breathing tests
Our department also assists with the insertion of pacemakers and loop recorders and we are also involved with monitoring your ECG during angiograms (click here for more information on angiograms) and also transoesophageal echos (click here for more information).
Our department is located on Suite 4 of outpatients, accessible via the main entrance which is nearest to Entrance A when entering the hospital grounds.
