John Harrison

"My main interests lie in soft tissue reconstructive surgery of the upper limb, and treating sports injuries.  Approximately two-thirds of my work is hand and wrist.  I am the hand surgeon for Team GB rowing for past six years and have treated athletes who were Olympic Finalists in Rio 2016."

Training

I trained in Manchester doing a Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital. 

Operations

Carpal tunnel, ganglions, Dupuytren’s, scaphoid non-union, wrist arthroscopy, wrist ligament reconstruction, chronic wrist pain, joint replacement in the hand, shoulder arthroscopy

Clinics

I consult patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Blaydon Primary Care Centre/Washington Primary Care Centre.  Ask your GP for a referral.
