Contact the Stroke Association or Different Strokes for details of stroke clubs and support groups in your local area. These groups provide a meeting place for people who have had a stroke and may organise outings, events and activities that help rehabilitation and increase people’s confidence

The Stroke Association and Different Strokes also produce a free magazine providing lots of useful information about stroke. Your team will be able to tell you about local self help groups and long term support for both patients and carers.
