A day in the life of a matron
Posted on Tue, 20/06/2017 by Ross WighamThis week we joined Matron Janet Thompson to take a look behind the scenes on a typical day at the hospital.
Janet is the new chief matron in medicine and she kindly agreed to let the communications team shadow her for a day and document her work for this new video blog.
We created a photo gallery that highlights the work of an acute NHS hospital, showing a different side of some of the people who work here and those currently getting treatment.
Shot in black and white to give a slightly different perspective than usual, it includes portraits from across the organisation as well as people going about their usual day working in the NHS.
This photo gallery is the latest in a series of blogs called QE Stories, a new forum where you can learn more about QE Gateshead and discuss how we work behind the scenes to provide excellent healthcare for you and your family.
