The Department is able to provide training on a variety of topics – some of which are listed below:

Mental health in the workplace signs and symptoms, common causes of stress, anxiety, depression; action to take and how to encourage openness in the workplace on this issue.
Management of mental health in the workplace designed for managers and supervisors to help them recognise and support staff with common mental health conditions in the workplace to help reduce the stigma and concerns when approaching this subject in the workplace.
Attendance Managing attendance in the workplace
Manual Handling training can be practical or theoretical based and tailored to the manual handling risks in the workplace
Ergonomic Aspects of office safety awareness awareness of musculo skeletal disorders related to office work, how to position and alter chairs and VDU equipment to reduce risk of upper limb musculo skeletal problems.  Safe moving and handling principles of office equipment e.g. files, boxes
Manual handling risk assessment training train up some key members of staff to be responsible for undertaking these assessments in the workplace
Skin surveillance techniques train up key members of staff in undertaking skin surveillance and setting up a skin surveillance campaign
