QE response to car damage

We can confirm that following an incident at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, 26 cars belonging to staff and others were damaged. The incident involved a member of the public who was subsequently arrested and detained by Northumbria Police.  This was a distressing and upsetting experience for all involved though fortunately no-one was injured. All our procedures were managed correctly and we cannot comment further.
