About the service
Audiology provides hearing assessments, hearing aids, and aftercare for children and young people aged 0-18.
Children can be referred for a hearing assessment by their GP, health visitor or speech and language therapist.

Hearing Aid Repairs If your child is an existing patient and you would like to speak to us about their hearing aids, please telephone 0191 445 2532 between 09:00 – 12:30 and 13:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday or email [email protected].
If you need special arrangements to be able to attend appointments, please let us know.
Where to find us
The Audiology department is based in the purple zone, nearest to Entrance C next to public Car Park 2. You can check-in at the Audiology main reception which is just inside the Windy Nook entrance.
Please note: due to current Infection Control guidance face coverings must be worn for all appointments unless you are exempt.
We ask that only one parent accompanies a child to their appointment, however, we will try to accommodate both parents in exceptional circumstances if clinic space allows.
